This is the preview page for Play NC’s 2026 Youth 4v4 Wiffle Ball Tournament! The name of the event is still TBD, but we are excited to share some details so you can start preparing for the event!

What: Wiffle Ball tournament to raise money for a special cause related to Brij Spangler. Details still TBD, but we’ll be playing Wiffle Ball for Brij!
Who: We will feature three different age divisions: Ages 7-10, Ages 11-14 and Ages 15+.
When: Spring 2026
Where: Herndon Park Turf Fields
How: We will be playing a “Blind-Draw” team assignment format, with all players signing up as individuals and teams being randomly selected 2 weeks prior to the event.
- Teams will be equally weighted by Player Age, with all teams having approximately the same average age among team members.
- Teams will have 5 or 6 players on the roster, with 4 Players in the field on defense and all players in the batting lineup on offense.
- We will follow general Durham Wiffle Ball rules, with some kid-focused exceptions.
- A “Blind-Draw” format will ensure teams are relatively fair and balanced, while giving kids a reason to play with a new group of friends.
Goal: Fill 24 teams with kids and adults who want to play Wiffle Ball, have a fun time, and remember a friend by playing a game as an act of service in his name.
